Annual General Meeting – 26 March, 2007
The annual meeting was held on the 26h March and was attended by 32 members. It was reported that membership for the year stood at 88 which was down slightly on the previous year. It was decided that subscriptions should remain unchanged. However this was likely to change next year when it was pointed out by the Editor that the cost of producing the magazine was £1 per copy.
A number of talks were being arranged throughout the year commencing on the 26th April with a talk entitled "Smuggling in Essex."
A trip to the First World War Battlefields was being arranged for the 12 - 14th October, under the guidance of Major Graeme Cooper, who was our guide on the successful Waterloo trip in 2006. It is hoped that members will support this trip.
Shirley Fisher stood down as Secretary and was replaced by Martyn Lockwood. Andrew Smith a regular contributor to the newsletter joined the committee.
