Moment in Time

My father, Peter Smith now 87 years old, wanted to throw away an old exercise book containing
graph paper in which he as a teenager plotted designs for rug making on winter evenings in his
Mountnessing home. On the cover were written the following names which he jotted down as he
listened to the wireless as he was working: “Grigg, Wood, Edward, Charlton, Berry, Foulks,
Scallan, Blanchflower, Morgans, Voulet”.
