1901 Census – Stanford Rivers
With the retirement in February of the current Rector, the Rev Roger Wilkinson, it was interesting to note the following entry from the 1901 Census:
The Rectory
| Name | Age | Occupation |
|---|---|---|
| Rev Robert Rolleston | 81 years | Clergyman |
| Lucy Rolleston (wife) | 60 years | |
| Ellinor (daughter) | 24years | |
| Eliza Haylor | 50 years | Cook |
| Maud Driver | 23 years | Parlour Maid |
| Ethel Monk | 17 years | Kitchen Maid |
Times are certainly changing!
