A Walk – Stanford Rivers in 1840

The Ongar Millennium History Society has requested a repeat of the walk - “Stanford Rivers in 1840”

This was one of the inaugural High Country History Group walks, held twelve years ago. If you would like to join this short, historical ramble of about one mile, walkers will be meeting at 2:00pm on Thursday, 6th September, in the churchyard of St Margaret’s, the parish church of Stanford Rivers. The walk will be followed by a brief tour of the church.

Should you need even more encouragement, there will be a cream tea awaiting you at the church at the conclusion of the walk, at a cost of £5.00. Cream teas will be available from about 3:45pm should you just wish for tea.
