Moment in Time – answer

My father jotted down the names of the survivors of the Munich Air Disaster of 6 February 1958.

Twenty-three Manchester United football players (known as the ‘Busby Babes’ after manager Matt Busby), supporters and journalists were killed when their aircraft failed to take off and crashed in appalling weather conditions after refuelling on a homeward trip from a European Cup match in Belgrade, Yugoslavia (now Serbia).

The news bulletin, in the aftermath, confirmed the survivors to be:

Harry Gregg, Ray Wood, Duncan Edwards, who died in hospital 15 days later; Bobby Charlton, who went on to be a member of the 1966 England FIFA World Cup-winning team; Johnny Berry, who was injured and never played again; Bill Foulkes; Albert Scanlon; Jackie Blanchflower, who was injured and never played again; Kenny Morgans; and Dennis Viollet.
