Sparrows
On 17 October 1817 the Stanford Rivers Vestry met and it was resolved:
"The parishioners also agreed to pay all persons who will destroy the sparrows in this Parish in the following manner—for every dozen sparrows four pence and for every dozen eggs two pence—to be paid by application to Mr Jones, Churchwarden."
