Visit to Copped Hall, Epping

On the 11th May a party of us went to Copped Hall, Epping, on a private visit organised by the Copped Hall Trust. Our guide for the afternoon was Vic Knope, who is one of the trustees. We had a full tour of the house and the kitchen garden, lasting 3 hours. Tea and delicious home-made cakes were provided. Vic was not only an enthusiastic guide but very knowledgeable on the history of Copped Hall.

Having not visited the house for some years I was amazed to see the amount of work that has been carried out in bringing the house back to its glory days. Much is still to be done and the work is slowly progressing, much being undertaken by professional builders as funds are available.

There are a number of open days and other events, including concerts held to raise funds. Check out their website for further information.
