Stanford Rivers – William Ernest East [26244]

[26244] Private 2 nd Battalion the Essex Regiment. He
enlisted at Epping. He was killed in action on the 1 st
July 1916, aged 20 years. He is buried in the Serre Road
Cemetery No. 1., Pas de Calais, France.
He was born circa 1896 at Bury St Edmunds the son of
William and Elizabeth East, of Audley End, Burston,
Diss, Norfolk.

He resided at Toot Hill.
