I am unable to trace this individual at this time.
There is, however, a Charles Herbert East, brother of Edward
East, who was born in 1894 in Wanstead, Essex.
He died of pneumonia on 9 November 1918, aged 25, and is buried in
Greensted Churchyard.
In the 1911 Census, he was recorded as
“working on the family farm”.
