George Green
[18949] Private in the 13th Battalion, Essex Regiment.
He enlisted at Warley. He was killed in action on 13 March 1917.
He has no known grave and is commemorated on the
Thiepval Memorial, France.
He was born about 1898 in North Weald, the son of Frederick and Elizabeth Green.
In the 1911 Census, the family were living at
1 Surrey Cottages, Stanford Rivers.

Mr and Mrs Green, of Little End, Stanford Rivers, have been notified that
their son George has been killed in action. This is the second son they
have lost in the war.
