Book Review – History of Essex Police

The Essex Police Force - A History.

By Martyn Lockwood

Published on the 1 December this book contains over 250 photographs (with captions), many of which have not been published before, charting the history of the force from its inception in 1840 through to 2009. It can be pre-ordered from Amazon Books for the amazing price of £11.69, (normal price £12.99). The book was commissioned by the publishers, The History Press. Go on treat yourself.

Proceeds from the sale of the book unfortunately will not see me living the good life as a tax exile on Jersey, as the Essex Police Museum will benefit.
